Join Hudson Street Hum to kick-off the 2022 Art Studio Trail – showcasing Newcastle’s emerging arts precinct. The Art Trail is all about celebrating Newcastle's thriving art scene with first stop, Hudson Street Hum, where you can join us for a unique experience guided by local art legends, Peter Lankas and Jane Lander.
In this hands-on painting experience you’ll get to create a piece of work that, when all put together, reveals a giant magical mural.

This community project is all about celebrating pleasure and playfulness through our collective creative efforts.
All ages welcome, no skills required, just a willingness to enjoy!

Peter and Jane are local art royalty with a combined 60 years experience both in art education and art practice!
Peter currently teaches painting and drawing at the Newcastle Art School (TAFE) and regularly conducts sell-out workshops throughout the Hunter region and the Central coast.
Jane's work is held in many collections including the Newcastle Art Gallery, Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery, Maitland Art Gallery, Muswellbrook Art Gallery and Broken Hill Art Gallery. Lander has been a finalist in many national prizes.
