Please join us for a school holiday Zine workshop to celebrate the installation of our very own Zine Library here at Hudson Street Hum as part of Nina Katzmarski's ZINE PROJECT!

This Zine workshop is especially suited for children and young people to do together with parents, grandparents and carers. In this workshop Nina will show you how to create your own simple Zine. You will get to play with different materials and to explore this fun, effective and low cost way of making a small circulation publication with original text and images. ALL AGES and skill levels welcome however we ask for children under 12 to be accompanied by a parent, family member or carer.

Hudson Street Hum is proud to support this community initiative by Nina Katzmarski which aims to distribute Zine libraries in local communities to promote a love for zines and to inspire people to make their own publications. The project shares Hudson Street Hum's values of collaboration, experimentation, playfulness, community spirit and inclusiveness.

Zines are a low cost accessible art form which give a creative voice to people from all walks of life.

The Zine Project is kindly supported by the City of Newcastle - Quick Response Grant.
