Taking inspiration from Still Life and Landscape subjects, you will:
- explore preliminary pencil drawing and composition
- ways of looking and learning, how to interpret the subject
- how to experiment with the use of different brushes for application of washes and mark-making
- choice of paper
- choice of colour
- process of layering tonal washes of colour and working with wet-on–dry and wet-on-wet techniques.
This course will provide you with the knowledge and techniques to enjoy your creative process and build your skills and confidence to successfully create your own individual artworks.
This course is ideal for people new to watercolour through to those looking to refresh or further develop their skills.
Materials will be supplied for the first class. You will be provided with a materials list for the final 3 classes
Tea/coffee and biscuits. What to bring: If you have your own watercolour materials, please bring them to the first class.
