‘Give life to the tree’ in our watercolour workshop, delivered by artist, teacher and mentor Susan Porteous.Trees are an essential component of life on earth and this workshop will celebrate ‘National Tree Day 2022 in July. In this workshop, Susan will provide you with step by step demonstrations and practical guidance to enable you to discover the fascinating versatility of watercolour techniques and processes.
In this workshop you will explore preliminary pencil drawing and composition, ways of looking and learning how to interpret the subject, how to experiment with the use of different brushes for application of washes and mark-making, choice of paper, the choice of colour and the process of layering tonal washes of colour and working with wet-on–dry and wet-on-wet techniques.
This workshop will provide you with some of the knowledge and techniques to enjoy your creative process and develop your skills to successfully create your own individual artwork.
All materials and inspiration are provided in this beginner watercolour workshop.
