This introductory workshop offers those starting their watercolour journey with a unique opportunity to paint a floral composition based on bare drawings on watercolour paper supplied by the artist.
You will be guided by artist and educator, Martha Moderitz through watercolour techniques including, methods for applying washes and base colour, building up tonal variations, wet and dry brush techniques, applying finer details, creating a harmonious colour palette, and tips and tricks to help build your confidence in using watercolour.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world while learning the art of painting with watercolour. This workshop is ideal for those keen to explore this delicate and beautiful medium.

About Martha Moderitz
Martha is a freelance artist and educator, and co-founder of Foundations4Creativity, an educational enterprise seeking to invoke the inner artist in everyone. Her work is inspired by the underlying structures and patterns found in our natural world. She explores ideas of inner expression and storytelling through her illustrations and paintings.
Martha graduated with a Masters in Traditional Arts from the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London, where she subsequently worked on the School’s international outreach programme. Martha received The Bagri Foundation Prize in 2017 for an original composition and her work is owned by private collectors in both the UK and Australia.

Workshop Schedule
This is a 2.5hr hour workshop between 2-4.30pm on Saturday 12 August.
