In this cross-disciplinary school holiday workshop, kids will combine drawing 'ugly' animals with creative writing.

Super talent, Sami Bayly, is the author and illustrator of the new children’s book, 'The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Ugly Animals' and she will be stepping the kids through the art of drawing some weird and wonderful animals. Your young creative will be exploring some of the curiosities behind the most unusual creatures across the globe, from the blobfish, to the naked mole rat. Sami will be bringing in a selection of taxidermy specimens and elements from nature for inspiration.

After you've had fun drawing your ugly animals we'll have a quick snack break and once refuelled we begin our story writing. We'll take the kids on a little creative journey with prompts, scaffolding and stories to help them create their own stories about their Ugly Animals.

This school holiday workshop is suitable for primary aged students aged 7+. Book in fast as we have limited spots:)
