Young creatives are welcome to "come and try" this classAttention all teens looking for a creative way to express yourself! Our teen clay sculpture course is the perfect opportunity to develop your artistic skills while exploring the playful medium of air-drying clay. This series is ideal for school students from Year 6 upwards.
To use your Creative Kids Voucher:
1) Book in and select 'Bank Transfer'
2) Email us the name, voucher number and DOB
3) We redeem the voucher and you pay the remaining amount ie $140
Over the course of 8 weeks you will learn hand building and carving techniques creating two pieces on a plinth. You'll start by sketching ideas which will then be used to guide your sculptures.
Practicing artist and educator, Jane Lander, will guide you through the process step-by-step and will give personalised feedback and support.
Not only will you develop your artistic skills, but you will also have the chance to connect with others who share your interests. Our course is a supportive and inclusive environment, where you can express yourself and explore your creativity freely.

About Jane Lander
Jane has an established practice with over 30 years experience. Her work is held in many collections including the Newcastle Art Gallery, Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery, Maitland Art Gallery, Muswellbrook Art Gallery and Broken Hill Art Gallery. Lander has been a finalist in many national prizes including The Dobell Drawing Prize, The Blake Travelling Art Prize, The NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting prize and The Kilgour Art Prize, now held annually at Newcastle Art Gallery. Jane holds a Bachelor of Teaching (secondary, visual arts).
Workshop Schedule
This class is held on Tuesday afternoons from 4-5.30pm and runs for 8 weeks starting on Tuesday 2nd May through until 20 June.
