This school holiday workshop is designed for senior high school students (Year 10-12). Guided by artist and experienced educator, Peter Lankas, students will receive a full day of intense mentoring in their own art making practice alongside demonstrations by Peter and the art of colour.
In this workshop students will learn how to mix colours with a limited palette. Students will be introduced to hues, saturations, values, and colour temperature. They will be using a variety of media.
After a morning spent developing colour knowledge and a lunch break, students will then use the afternoon applying their colour skills to an extended art making exercise.

About Peter Lankas
Peter is an award-winning artist with over 30 years experience in both teaching and working as a practitioner in the process of drawing and painting. He has a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle. He currently teaches painting and drawing at the Newcastle Art School (TAFE) and regularly conducts workshops throughout the Hunter region and the Central coast.

We are now a registered provider of the NSW Government’s Creative Kids rebate. This gives you $100 towards your school-aged child participating in our awesome art and writing programs.
Parents and Carers can apply for a Creative Kids voucher through their MyServiceNSW account (you will need to log in or register). All we need is the voucher number, expiry date, and your child’s name and date of birth.
