Inspired by a stunning still-life floral display, you will learn how to use underpainting techniques exclusive to Soft Pastels and many tips and tricks to enhance your painting and create a truly beautiful tribute to Spring.
This workshop is perfect for beginners wanting to try something new through to more experienced pastel artists. Workshop places are limited, ensuring you receive the individual assistance you need.

Gwendolin Lewis is an award-winning pastel artist with over 10 years teaching experience. Her beautiful, evocative landscapes and still-life drawings capture the emotional essence of a subject, atmosphere or simply the time of day.
She is a graduate of Swinburne College of Graphic Art and Design (Melbourne) and has a degree in Fine Art majoring in painting at Newcastle University. Gwendolin teaches workshops in and around Newcastle, Maitland and Sydney.

Workshop Schedule
This is a 3 hour workshop with afternoon tea.
What you get:As well as expert tuition, we supply a stunning still-life floral display and photographs for inspiration and supplementary pastels.
What to bring:
Bring your own soft pastels (not oil) if you have them. If not, don't stress we have some basic beginners sets for you to use.
You will also need to bring your own special paper (we'll email you a materials when you enrol).
