This workshop is a great way to find out about dying fabric using the Japanese Shibori technique with artist Amanda Donohue. Learn about different techniques such as arashi, itajame, ori nui and ne-maki.

Participants will create their own scarf using one of these techniques and can chose a linen, cotton or silk scarf.

A variety of other fabrics will be available for you to play with and dye if there is time. All necessary equipment and indigo dye will be provided. If you have any particular item you want to dye please feel free to bring it along. NB Bring one small item only made from a natural fabric - such as a cotton tote bag, t-shirt or pillowcase.

This workshop is a great opportunity to enjoy a traditional craft in a relaxed environment with other like minded fun creatives while learning skills for future projects. The workshop celebrates the process of creating unique items rather than focusing on perfect results.

Please note: Hudson Street Hum Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed on this class as it is run privately by the artist.
