Come join super sewing enthusiast Lucy Merchant from Sonny and Scout and have some fun sewing and socialising in this special course over four Wednesday afternoons. Lucy's classes are self-paced and allow you to select from a variety of projects to match your skills. You will be guided through each pattern and can select from homewares including cushions, placemats and napkins and fashion clothing including skirts, tops and bags, plus plenty of other projects.
Whether you're a complete beginner, need some refreshing or keen to extend your existing skills, there is a space for you to create. Lucy's class sizes are limited to ensure plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sonny and Scout (aka Lucy Merchant) is a Newcastle-based sewing teacher with over 25 years experience creating clothing, bags, homewares and gifts. She is a Sewcialist - a person who enjoys sewing, and loves connecting with like-minded others. With a nerd-like enthusiasm and passion for all things sewing, she runs a range of courses and workshops in a fun and supportive environment. Lucy teaches classes for all ages and skill levels: from creative people keen to learn sewing basics, to experienced sewers looking to hone their skills or seeking creative inspiration.
Workshop Schedule
This is a four week sewing course running on Wednesday from 12.30-2.30pm starting on the 8th May and finishing on the 29th May.
What you need to bring:
Material if you have a specific project you would like to work on otherwise we have plenty to get you started.
Your lovely creative self! What you get: Sewing machine supplied but even better if you can bring your own. All material, zippers, threads supplied by us. Detailed hand outs each week. 25+ years sewing tips and tricks shared by the lovely Lucy!
