Join us for this very special workshop presented by fine artist, Rachel Milne. In this workshop, Rachel will be looking at drawing the portrait. You'll be guided through the process of breaking down, what can be an intimidating subject matter, into manageable chunks. Working in pencil on paper, beginning from photographs and working up to tackling the portrait from life we'll be concentrating on careful observation and how seeing a subject matter in terms of shapes and angles can make any composition achievable!
Rachel Milne is a figurative oil painter based in Newcastle who paints from life. She has been a finalist in several high profile competitions including the Archibald Salon des Refuse and the Wynne Prize in 2017 and won the Singleton Prize for Portraiture in 2013. Rachel is represented by the King Street Gallery on William in Sydney.
