Melanie is a self-taught abstract artist from Newcastle, NSW predominantly working with acrylic on canvas. Following the opening of Melanie's exhibition she will be running a workshop to show you the therapeutic benefits and process of creating a personal abstract art piece on canvas.
To register for the workshop, please contact Melanie directly via instagram @melanie_norman_artAbout Melanie Norman
Born in Germany, Melanie's parents immigrated to Australia when she was just 6 months old. Her mum couldn't speak English upon arrival and immediately took to developing her intuition and psychic abilities, leading her to becoming a practicing medium for many years.
Melanie's journey has been more complicated, spiritually and emotionally. From this, she draws from her own shades of darkness and light, creating a result on canvas that is both satisfying and therapeutic.
Most of Melanie's work has an emotional story behind it, and what brings her the most joy is when others connect to the outcomes of her passion, and get lost in their own creating when she delivers her emotive workshops.
