If you love horses, friendship and fun, then join author Jess Black and illustrator Serena Geddes for an exciting writing and illustration workshop inspired by their new series Pepper Creek Ponies.
Jess will share her insights behind writing the series with students. They will then explore a piece of text together to use as a jumping off point for the illustration part of the workshop. Students will join Serena as she shares the inspiration behind the creation of each character, how to capture emotion and how she learnt to draw horses. Together we will explore some of Jess’s text to create a final picture to show. Bring your favourite pencils, your imagination and of course, your love of horses!
Following the workshop, Jess and Serena will launch the first book of the series – A New Friend. Please note you need to book separately for the Pepper Creek Ponies Book Launch.
This workshop is suitable for ages 7-14.
