Join award-winning local artist Gwendolin Lewis who has recently returned from a sabbatical in Europe. This workshop is suitable for people with some drawing experience wanting to try something new through to more experienced pastel artists.

About Gwendolin Lewis
Gwendolin Lewis is an award-winning pastel artist with over 10 years teaching experience. Her beautiful, evocative landscapes capture the emotional essence of a subject, the atmospheric effect of weather or simply the time of day. A recent working trip to Europe has inspired her to share her passion for Italian streetscapes.
She is a graduate of Swinburne College of Graphic Art and Design (Melbourne) and has a degree in Fine Art majoring in painting at Newcastle University. Gwendolin teaches workshops in and around Newcastle, Maitland and Sydney.

Workshop Schedule
This is a 3 hour workshop with morning tea.

What to bring:
Bring your own soft pastels if you have them (not oil pastels).
Colours needed include burnt sienna, yellow gold, orange, cadmium red, dark blue and dark brown plus regular colours including white
If you don't have your own pastels, don't stress we have some basic beginners sets for you to use. Just let us know :)
You will also need to bring some special paper (we'll email you when you enrol).
Small towel or wipes for hands.
