Guided by artist and experienced educator, Jane Lander, you'll gain new skills in working with acrylics. This medium is vibrant and versatile, offering you a wide range of textures, colours and consistences. Jane will share her expertise with brush selection and technique, organising colour palettes, colour mixing and working on weekly exercises and small compositions.
With these guided classes, you'll learn to take small risks often to increase your confidence, develop your skill and find reward in your creative development.
Please note: due to COVID restrictions we have strictly limited places to 8 students. We adhere to the latest NSW Gov guidelines on social distancing and hygiene at all times.
Jane has an established practice with over 30 years experience. Her work is held in many collections including the Newcastle Art Gallery, Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery, Maitland Art Gallery, Muswellbrook Art Gallery and Broken Hill Art Gallery. Lander has been a finalist in many national prizes including The Dobell Drawing Prize, The Blake Travelling Art Prize, The NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting prize and The Kilgour Art Prize, now held annually at Newcastle Art Gallery.
