Come and join botanical artist Lauren May SK for a fun and inspiring watercolour workshop where you’ll explore the lively hues and delicate textures of pansies. This workshop will guide you on how to paint these cheerful flowers step by step, from their vibrant petals to their lush green leaves.
The focus on this workshop will be learning wet-on-wet techniques to create vibrant paintings of pansies. Lauren will provide pre-made pansy templates so that you can focus on the painting technique rather than on drawing and composition.
This workshop is excellent for beginners to watercolour painting and also for anyone in the mood for making something pretty. Come along, bring a friend, and have a beautiful morning of mindfulness and creativity
Lauren has a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration (Grade I Honours) from the University of Newcastle. Her botanical art pieces are held in collections of the Sydney Florilegium Botanical Art Society as well as the Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation in Pittsburgh, US. Lauren is a member of the prestigious Sydney Florilegium and the Botanical Art Society of Australia.
