Reconnect with the natural world through paint in this four-week series guided by artist Jane Lander. Designed for both beginners and those with some experience, this course offers a supportive and engaging environment to develop your painting practice through direct observation.
Each week focuses on a different aspect of working from nature—looking closely, simplifying form, understanding light and tone, and building colour relationships. Through a combination of short exercises and more sustained studies, you’ll learn how to translate what you see into confident, expressive paintings.
Jane brings a thoughtful approach to teaching, encouraging you to slow down, observe deeply, and trust your own responses. The emphasis is not on perfect outcomes, but on building skills, confidence, and a more intuitive connection to your subject.
Sessions are relaxed and social, with time for individual guidance, group discussion, and reflection. You’ll gain practical techniques while also discovering new ways of seeing that can enrich your broader creative practice.
