Join artist and experienced educator, Jane Lander, gaining new skills in Landscape Drawing. Jane will share her expertise, teaching you how to study Landscape compositions inspired by a variety of different environments. This series will also include a 'Plein-Air' session where you will sketch a series of outdoor studies to build your skills and push your abilities in the art of Plein-Air.
How we explore, respond and interpret landscape, whether urban or bush is as individual as the marks that we make. Drawing is a highly personal arrangement of marks that conveys meaning for us. Learning how to describe what you see and feel through drawing is still the most direct and candid way to portray landscape.
In this series you will create drawings based on landscape as the stimulus using a variety of media and techniques fundamental to an arts practice. These directed classes will develop your understanding of the elementals such as; composition, form and scale, including creating atmosphere and mood in your work.
In these guided classes run over four weeks, you'll learn to take small risks often to increase your confidence, develop your skill and find reward in your creative development.
