Join celebrated artist, Peter Lankas, for an engaging workshop on how to use your iPad to enhance your traditional art practice. Learn how to use digital tools for sketching, composition planning, colour studies and reference creation.

In this workshop you will use the free app, Brushes Redux, and learn to draw with no layers and fancy filters.

This workshop will provide practical insights to bridge digital and traditional methods giving you confidence to explore new creative possibilities.

Please note: this workshop is suitable for iPad tablets only, due to the drawing programme used.

About Peter Lankas
Peter has a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle and over thirty years experience in the process of drawing and painting. He currently teaches drawing for Media and Screen at Newcastle TAFE. Peter regularly conducts workshops throughout the Hunter region and the Central coast and is a practicing artist with his most recent exhibition at Straitjacket, Newcastle, 2024.

Workshop Schedule

This is a 2.5hr hour workshop to be held on Saturday 1st March, 2-4.30pm.

What you get:
Expert tuition from an experienced artist

What to bring:
Your iPad and any kind of stylus, iPad pen or simple rubber tipped pen (unless using your finger), downloaded free App Brushes Redux
Images of existing analog drawings or paintings in your photos app.
