Join Yvette Ten-Bohmer in an ink portrait workshop celebrating the human spirit embodied through the face.

In this workshop, inspired by the art of Marlene Dumas, you'll use ink and water with a focus on gesture to capture life and emotion. Yvette will guide and demonstrate considering and instilling: basic portraiture fundamentals and teach you techniques in using the forgiving and free flowing medium of ink.

You'll love the playfulness and flexibility of ink which dismisses perfectionism and realism and replaces your work with gestural and emotional freshness. In this workshop we'll look at a range of faces and generate a series of expressive portraits. We'll also engage with each other in a paired portrait (feel free to bring a friend!).

If you have a curiosity for emotion, ink, portraiture and you contain a creative spirit; this is the ideal way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
