Join artist and educator, Yvette Ten-Bohmer, for a relaxed Sunday afternoon exploring the beauty of the human form. Learn to draw the human figure with an in situ life model.
Learn how to deconstruct the model in the pose using elements such as:
*How to capture the model quickly using gesture and raw mark making
*Measuring the model
*Basic anatomy
*How to find and apply essential angles
*Perspective including foreshortening
*How to use light and dark (shades/tones)
*Composition
Yvette is passionate about the visual arts and through her energy and flare she inspires us to express our shared human experience. This is a unique opportunity for anyone who is interested in drawing the human form but not sure where to begin.
This workshop is suitable for all skill levels from beginners through to those wishing to develop or refresh their skills. Please note this class includes a professional unclothed life model.About Yvette Ten-Bohmer
Growing up in Newcastle, Yvette completed an Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts at Newcastle Art School. Yvette found this course to be just the beginning of her life passion in exploring creative expression through the study of the human form. She went on to study a BA Fine Arts at the National Art School, Sydney. Yvette is a practicing artist, exhibiting regularly in Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne. She teaches at Newcastle Art School (TAFE) and enjoys inspiring students to seek their own creative expression. In 2011 Yvette won the prestigious John Olsen Prize for Life Drawing.
