Felting Fundamentals is a three session course which will provide you with all the basic skills you need to get you wet felting.
This course will cover:
Week 1 (Monday 2nd of November) – Felted Book covers. Getting down to the very basics of how just wool, soap, water and friction creates felt.
Week 2 (Monday 9th of November) – Nuno felted Scarfs . Nuno felting is a technique that will build on your wet felting skills by entangling silk in with our wool to create a light weight scarf.
Week 3 (Monday 16th of November) – Felted vessels. In our last class, we will be using the resist method to create 3D forms and vessels.

About Courtney Heffernan
Courtney Heffernan is an emerging Newcastle based artist predominantly working with and developing her own unique take on felted and upcycled materials. Courtney has completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in fibres and textiles, her love for textiles and sculpting materials has led her to start her own business “Naughty Courty’s Creations”.
Courtney draws her inspiration from the organic forms found in nature, and is driven to create unique, sustainable and ecofriendly felted clothing and accessories.
