"Drawing for me has always been the cornerstone of my professional practice, my painting grew out of considered and careful observational drawing".
Rachel Milne
In this four-week course Rachel will pass on all she has learnt about observational drawing as well as exploring some new mediums and using the solid fundamentals of drawing practice to enable you to learn and create some beautiful work!
During the four-week course you will cover the basics of observational drawing, looking at how to begin using visual language, negative shapes, shadows, reflections and highlights. You’ll be doing carefully observed line drawing, full tone drawing and using putty rubbers and coloured pencils. By the end of four weeks, you will have a portfolio of carefully considered drawings and a solid understanding of observational drawing - an invaluable foundation for any art practice.
