Anyone can learn how to draw using the correct process. Join Peter Lankas in a special drawing class which will focus on portrait drawing using direct observation, mark-making, and creative discovery.
Explore drawing as a language to capture the objective as well as the subjective, conceptual, and abstract. You will participate in a series of exercises to build your skills and techniques using predominantly graphite, and charcoal.
This workshop is suitable for beginners through to experienced artists.
About Peter Lankas
Peter is an award-winning artist with over 30 years experience in both teaching and working as a practitioner in the process of drawing and painting. He has a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University of Newcastle. He currently teaches painting and drawing at the Newcastle Art School (TAFE) and regularly conducts workshops throughout the Hunter region and the Central coast.
