What happens when we stop trying to draw what we think we see—and start breaking down the image in front of us with fresh eyes?

Join us for a unique 4-week mixed media drawing course that invites you to deconstruct the image and rethink your relationship with visual representation. Whether you're a beginner or a more experienced artist looking to shake up your practice, this course will guide you through exercises that break traditional habits and open new pathways for creative expression.

Led by artist and educator, Jane Lander, this course focuses on observation, perception, and experimentation. We’ll explore how to move beyond realism and perfection, and instead respond to form, tone, line, and space in more instinctive, analytical, and expressive ways. You'll learn how to break images down into compositional shapes, contrasts and rhythms.

There is no pressure for perfect results—this is about curiosity, play, and process. All materials provided, just bring an open mind.

Come question what an image is, how we construct it, and how we might see the world—and our art—with new eyes.
