Colour is a beguiling and daily mystery we all share - walk around in- and react to and with. It's a universal language - a gift of beauty but because it requires no effort to see it we often take it for granted.
What exactly is colour and how do we understand it, organise it and harness its power of expression? Through these 2 workshops we can learn how to playfully explore basic colour concepts, the characteristics of colour mixing to create new and beautiful palettes that both harmonise and discord. You'll learn to develop both conventional and unconventional colour schemes using paint and coloured papers.
These workshops are led by colour artist and enthusiast, Lezlie Tilley, who has over 30 years of teaching and practice as a professional artist. This workshop is for anyone, from the fibre artist to the painter, the decorator to the craftsperson, or simply the adventurous and the curious.
