In this fun and creative school holiday workshop, your young artist will unleash their creativity while learning ceramic hand-building and glazing techniques! In this imaginative session, young artists will explore the art of hand-building to create their own unique landscapes. Whether it's their fairy house, their own home with all the family, or an adventurous island of their imagination, children will have the opportunity to bring their dreamscapes to life using clay.
The young ceramicists will be learning basic hand-building techniques of slab building, making coils, and pinching to craft their own landscapes. The students will then choose bright underglaze colours to paint their clay creations. The works will be fired and ready for collection 4 weeks after the workshop.
The workshop will run for 2 hours with a small snack break mid way through, so please bring something to nibble on (no peanuts please). This workshop is suitable for kids 7+ :)

Mahalia is a ceramic artist based in Newcastle, Mulubinba. A graduate of the Diploma of Ceramics from Newcastle Art School, TAFE, she is passionate about sharing her love for ceramics with others. Mahalia has exhibited her distinctive, quirky thrown and sculpted vessels in numerous duo and group shows, as well as art prizes, across Newcastle and the Hunter region.

This is a 2 hour workshop with a morning tea break. $85 each or 2 for $150
