Body Mapping - Motherhood & Identity

Come and be guided by visual storyteller, Madalyn Trypas in developing your own unique visual language into motherhood. In this workshop you will explore your own inner knowing around motherhood through a process known as Body Mapping. Body Mapping is a visual arts tool which utilises a range of multidisciplinary techniques and methods in developing your own visual language.

Madalyn will take you on an inner journey to explore the ways you identify as a mother, with a focus on your conditioned practices, your belief systems, fears, aspirations and any other inner dialogue which resonates with you. This will will be delivered in a safe and nurturing space, where you will learn how to engage with your instinctual, primal and conditioned nature to address, question and/or express your how and why. This will be achieved by the introducion of visual art materials, techniques and process which will guide the direction of your unique visual language. This will be a fully guided and support process, so please come with an open mind.

This workshop is open to all mothers - grandmothers, young mothers, first-time mothers, adoptive/foster mothers and mother from cultural diverse and Indigenous backgrounds.
