Join artist and educator, Yvette Ten-Bohmer, on a creative journey exploring the beauty of the human form. In this Beginner Life Drawing class, Yvette will guide you though the landscape of the human figure with an in situ life model. Using charcoal and pencil, you'll learn about the relationships between line, form, and shape in human anatomy.
Yvette is passionate about the visual arts and through her energy and flare she inspires us to express our shared human experience. This is a unique opportunity for anyone who has always been interested in drawing the human form but not sure where to begin.
Growing up in Newcastle, Yvette completed an Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts at Newcastle Art School. Yvette found this course to be just the beginning of her life passion in exploring creative expression through the study of the human form. Yvette went on to study a BA Fine Arts at the National Art School, Sydney. Upon completing her studies Yvette has continued to work as an artist, exhibiting regularly in Sydney and Melbourne and also working as a teacher, inspiring students to seek their own creative expression. In 2011 Yvette won the prestigious John Olsen Prize for Life Drawing.
This workshop runs from 3pm to 5.30pm. The price of the workshop is $55.
