Artful Geometry - 4 Week Course

Geometry has been used to inspire art and design for centuries and across different cultures. The practice of geometry is a tool for contemplation and meditation, with its inherent symbolism and rhythmic practice. It increases one's awareness of the archetypal shapes and rhythms found all around us, bringing a wonderful feeling of presence and deeper respect for our being, and its immensity of patterns, symmetry, and beauty.

In this four week series of classes, you will be guided through the construction of essential geometric shapes and patterns using a compass and straight edge. Each week, you will be introduced to different design elements and explore underlying symbolism to inspire and create composition.

Join these workshops where we will work to a relaxed and meditative rhythm, finding freedom in flow, and flow in structure. This workshop is suitable for beginners aged 15+ and for those wishing to explore geometry as a design and mindfulness tool.
