In this two-day workshop Susan Nethercote will walk you through her unique approach to painting colourful, expressive, and abstracted gardens in acrylics and mixed media that come straight from the heart. She will guide you step by step through all the stages of creating successful abstract botanical paintings. From loose, lush, expressive backgrounds, to creating abstracted botanical forms, Susan will guide you through all the layers of paint and mixed media and help you to bring play and experimentation to your art to create paintings that truly express ‘the garden within’.

Following her degree with Honours in Fine Art, Susan lectured and tutored at Melbourne University before moving on to establish the independent clothing label Manque Design which she successfully operated for 15 years. After having children and moving to Ballarat, Susan quickly established a prolific painting practice.

Workshop Schedule
This is a 2 day workshop running on Saturday 16 November and Sunday 17 November between 9.30 and 4pm. The cost of the workshop is $485.
