Explore the world of landscape or botanical abstraction in this fun and engaging workshop brought to you by Artable. Join Zoe Sernack and reignite your passion for painting in this 2-day intensive workshop, focusing on texture, layering, color mixing, and, most importantly, the joy of the creative process. Suitable for beginners and intermediate-level artists.
From sketching outdoors or using inspiration from photos, drawing influence from nature to develop compositions and mark-making techniques that will later be applied to wooden boards.
The first day will also have you making collage work that can inspire future creativity. When painting, you’ll move beyond the sketches, working intuitively to respond to shapes, marks, colors, and compositions, creating balanced and harmonious pieces.
Additionally, you'll incorporate stenciling techniques to add depth and dimension to your artwork. For those interested in experimenting further, a wood-burning kit will be available for etching into the boards.
